The City of Queen Creek is a growing community in the Southeast Valley named after the local creek of the same name.  As of July 2019, Queen Creek’s population is estimated at 50,890. It is famous for its modern irrigation system that brings water from the Colorado River. Crystal clear skies can often be seen where the Big and Little Horn Mountains look proudly over its eastern edge. Located along historic U.S. Route 80, now be known as Arizona State Highway 87, the Environmental Protection Agency has designated Queen Creek as an “Arizona “high Achieving Govt. for Environmental Initiatives.” The “historic downtown area is listed on the AZ Historical Register and is home to antique stores, unique shops, restaurants, and the shops at Heritage Square.
